Superior Webbing

We developed a proprietary manufacturing method for our polypropylene straps. Our straps have high strength, tactile feel, UV inhibitors, and superior performance.

Woven-in Length

Our Expedition and Classic Models have length woven into the webbing, allowing for easy identification. Unlike printed webbing, our woven-in length lasts a lifetime.

Durable Thread

We’ve selected a heavy-duty T-135 Polyester thread for each of our webbing assemblies for superior durability and stitching. This yields a longer life for your strap.

Triple Bar Tack

The Bar Tack is one of the most recognized and commonly used sewing methods for climbing and safety. Our Triple Bar Tack yields superior strength over Bar X and X patterns.

Working Load Limit (WLL) vs Max Load

Built for serious holding power, the Rollercam® straps use a 3:1 safety factor to ensure secure, consistent performance. This means that the max load is 3x more than the WLL.

Always check for wear. Do not use for climbing.

Everything you need to know

Rollercam® is built different—and so are our straps. This is (almost) everything you need to know to secure your gear with confidence from how our technology works, what materials we use, or how to get the best performance out of your tie-downs, you’re in the right place. See more

  • What makes Rollercam® the best cam straps?

When you pull to tighten a standard cam strap, friction builds between the cam and webbing, reducing the overall ability to tighten it securely. Rollercam® technology eliminates this friction, allowing you to pull the strap smoothly, tighten more effectively, and hold stronger.

  • What materials are used in Rollercam® Cam Buckles?

Our cam buckle body and thumb release are made from corrosion-resistant Zamak 2 alloy, known for its strength and durability. The roller is crafted from marine-grade brass, and the springs, roller shaft, and thumb release shaft are stainless steel, ensuring performance and longevity.

  • What is the difference between Working Load and Max Load?

TheWorking Load is the maximum weight a Rollercam® strap can securely hold under normal conditions, which we set at 350 lbs. This is calculated using a safety factor of 3, meaning our Max Load is approximately three times the Working Load. While Max Load indicates the theoretical maximum capacity, Working Load represents the safe, recommended limit for regular use, ensuring reliability and minimizing risk.

  • How well does Rollercam® handle saltwater and harsh environments?

With stainless steel, marine brass, and Zamak 2 alloy components, Rollercam® straps are built for salt exposure and rough conditions. Based in Salt Lake City, we test for durability in environments with high salt content. Occasional silicone spray can help keep things running smoothly.

  • What type of webbing is used in Rollercam® straps?

Our Expedition and Classic straps use a UV-resistant, high-tenacity polypropylene blend. This webbing resists water absorption and maintains a firm grip even when wet, ensuring reliability in challenging conditions.

  • What’s the difference between the Classic and Expedition models?

The main difference is color. The Classic model features a blue base with yellow length markers, while the Expedition model has a graphite base with orange markers. Both offer the same high-performance polypropylene webbing.
