There’s a right way to store your cam straps. There’s a wrong way. And then there’s the Rollercam® way—tight, tidy, and ready to deploy when you need it.
Here’s our go-to method for winding up your Rollercam® straps the smart way—because a dialed-in gear bag starts with better habits.
Step-by-Step: The Cleanest Strap Roll
-
Start at the End
Grab your Rollercam® and run your fingers along the webbing until you reach the free end. Hot tip: A 3’ strap is the easiest size to practice on.
-
Feed It Through
Slide the tail of your strap back through the bottom of the Rollercam® buckle. This helps lock the roll in place when you’re done—and keeps the strap from dangling loose.
-
Leave a Tail
Make sure to leave a bit of webbing at the end. You’ll need this to wrap back around your coiled strap and cinch it down. (Want a better sense of length? Try rolling first, then adjust your tail accordingly.)
-
Roll and Inspect
Start rolling your strap tightly into a coil. As you go, give it a once-over. This is a great time to check for frays, cuts, or damage. A quick inspection now could save your setup later.
-
Wrap and Cinch
Take the tail, wrap it around the roll, then feed it through the cam and pull tight. That’s it—compact, secure, and field-ready.
Once you roll with Rollercam®, you’ll never go back.
