How It Works
The system is built for versatility—ideal for roof racks, raft cargo areas, or truck beds.
1. Identify six hard points
Look for solid, immovable anchor points that won’t shift during transport. Good options include D-rings, metal cutouts in a truck bed, or crossbars on a roof rack.
2. Attach the loop-end straps
Girth hitch each strap by feeding the tail through your anchor point, then threading it back through its own loop. This creates a secure, fixed connection.
3. Load and position your gear
Stack your gear in the center of your setup. Place the Spider System over the top, making sure it’s evenly centered for balanced tension.
4. Weave through loose items
Run the Rollercam webbing through or around lighter gear—like PFDs or smaller bags—to prevent shifting or flyaways.
5. Tighten evenly
Start with a light pull on all six straps to remove slack. Then go back and tighten each one evenly, creating a firm, stable hold across the entire load.
From rivers to rugged backroads, the Spider System keeps your gear locked down and ready for the journey.
From Rivers to Road Trips

Rafting
We love using the Spider System in the back hatch—especially when we’re hauling gear for our whitewater kayaking crew. It’s not unusual for us to pack six or more dry bags along with shared essentials like a camp table, hand-washing station, spare pump, and the blaster.
Loading up is simple: toss everything in, anchor the straps to solid hard points, and cinch it down with the Spider System. It keeps the whole pile tight and organized. Once you’ve used it, it’s hard to go back.
Road Trips
The best tie-down system for your truck bed or roof rack. We keep one in the truck at all times—it’s a true workhorse. Whether we’re hauling gear cross-country or moving furniture across town, it locks everything down with zero budge.
Snowmobiling
On a recent multi-day hut trip, the Spider System proved perfect for securing gear in the sled. It made it easy to bundle everything down tight, even with bulky or uneven loads.
Pro tip: throw a tarp over your gear pile before cinching it down to help keep everything dry and protected from the elements.
Closing Thoughts
We’ve put the Spider System through its paces—from raft trips to road trips—and it’s earned a permanent spot in our kit. If you’re hauling gear, it just makes life easier. Give it a go and see how you pack differently.
